November 1 is GPS Tracking Device Awareness Day

On November 1 we want everyone in America to get underneath their Buicks, Toyotas, and VW's to check and see if the FBI (or other law enforcement agency, an ex-spouse, etc.)  has placed a GPS tracking device on their car.

Recently Yasir Afifi, a half-Egyptian, half-American Muslim and U.S. citizen, said he was having the oil changed on his car at a Santa Clara, California, auto shop when he noticed a wire and a black device underneath the automobile as it was being raised.

"I was born here in Santa Clara, I just turned 20 last August. I'm a sales manager, we sell laptops and I'm a full-time student," said Afifi.

After news articles spread around the world about the surreptitious GPS placement, guess what -- the FBI found Afifi and demanded the return of the device.  Whatever happened to "Finders Keepers"?

We couldn't help but wonder how many other Americans unknowingly have these devices under their cars.  So let's find out!  Come celebrate with us - November 1 is America's first GPS Tracking Device Awareness Day !!
If you find one, please post a photo of the device and how you found it here.  Thank you!
